About Moonglow
“Moonglow” has been a popular song since it was written. The first recordings were by Joe Venuti and His Orchesta, Ethel Waters, and The Benny Goodman Orchestra. Later recordings include those by Billie Holiday and Artie Shaw.

Lyrics

It must have been moonglow
Way up in the blue
It must have been moonglow
That led me straight to you

I still hear you saying
“Dear one, hold me fast”
And I started praying
“Oh, Lord, please make this last”

We seemed to float
Right through the air
Heavenly songs
Seemed to come from every where

And now when there’s moonglow
Way up in the blue
I always remember
That moonglow gave me you

We seemed to float
Right through the air
All those Heavenly songs
Seemed to come from every where

And now when there’s moonglow
Way up in the blue
I’ll always remember
That moonglow gave me you
That moonglow gave me you
That moonglow gave me you
