Lyrics

You’re a weaver of dreams
You and your strange fascination
You’re a weaver of dreams
You and your come-hither smile

Just to hear you speak
Can leave me weak as a babe in arms
Poor little babe in arms
Helpless before your charms

For you’re a weaver of dreams
You and your lips warm and tender
Just like magic it seems
Thrilling, enchanting me too

I’m in your spell and there’s no cure
I’m lost for sure
`Cause you’re a weaver of dreams
And I’m in love with you.

(You’re a weaver of dreams
You and your strange fascination
You’re a weaver of dreams
You and your come hither smile)

I’m in your spell and there’s no cure
I’m lost for sure
`Cause you’re a weaver of dreams
And I’m in love with you.

About Somewhere Along The Way
This popular song was recorded by Nat King Cole around the same time as Bennett’s recording. Frank Sinatra recorded it in 1961.

Lyrics

I used to walk with you
Along the avenue
Our hearts were carefree and gay
How could I know I’d lose you
Somewhere along the way?

The friends we used to know
Would always smile “Hello”
No love like our love they’d say
Then love slipped through our fingers
Somewhere along the way

I should forget
But with the loneliness of night I start remembering everything
You’re gone and yet
There’s still a feeling deep inside
That you will always be part of me

So now I look for you
Along the avenue
And as I wander I pray
That some day soon I’ll find you
Somewhere along the way

About Solitaire
Solitaire has been recorded by Tony Bennett and Dean Martin.

Lyrics

Since you’re gone I spend each lonely night
Dealing out the cards from left to right
And the queen of hearts is there to remind me
That I’m all alone just playing solitaire

Love was just another game for two
I see now, that’s all it meant to you
And my heart got lost somewhere in the shuffle
Now, I’m all alone just playing solitaire

In each romance there’s an element of chance
A gamble to win or to lose
You play to win, then you find you’re playing
In a game with no rules, just made for fools

Now the joker has the laugh on me
‘Cause I played my hand so carelessly
And until you want to share that old feeling
I’ll be dealing time away with solitaire

And until you want to share that old feeling
I’ll be dealing time away with solitaire

About Silly Dreamer
Dick Robertson and Harry Stride were both active songwriters in the 1930s, 40s and into the 1950s.

Lyrics

You’re always up in the skies
With that look in your eyes
Silly dreamer
Why don’t you come down to earth
To the things that are really worthwhile
You’re like a spoiled little child
Who just wants to run wild
Silly dreamer
And that’s the wrong way to be
Won’t you listen to me, my love?

You live in a world set apart
You laugh through your tears
Though it’s breaking your heart.

There’ll be no sun and no moon
Until you change your tune
Silly dreamer
But I will wait for the day
When again you will say I’m yours.

About Lazy Day In Love

Lyrics

Why do I gaze for hours
Counting the stars up above?
Baby, talking to all the flowers
It’s a lazy day in love

Why do I laugh all over?
Why am I limp as a glove?
It’s a wonderful world of clover
On this lazy day in love

I watch my heart fall apart
In a million pieces
Making eyes at the moon
Like its out of its earthly mind

We meet and the beat of my pulse increases
And I know very soon
I’ll be leaving this planet behind

Day after day I wake up
Whistling the song of a dove
What a fabulous life to take up
It’s a lazy day in love

Day after day I wake up
Whistling the song of a dove
What a fabulous life to take up
It’s a lazy day in love
