Note
The Columbia session sheets state that Bennett recorded all four tunes on April 17, 1950. However, the playback acetates from the session indicate that “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “I Wanna Be Loved were attempted on April 17, 1950, but actually finished on April 20. It’s likely that the orchestra backgrounds for those two tunes were done on the 17th and that Bennett’s vocals were not added until three days later and that Bennett was simply singing on top of previously-recorded instrumental backings.
