“April in Paris” was written for the 1932 Broadway musical Walk A Little Faster., which was turned. into the 1952 film of of the same name. Notable recordings include those by Count Basie (“one more once”), Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday. Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and man more. The song was featured in Mel Brook’s 1974 film Blazing Saddles, with Count Basie and His Orchestra playing the song in the desert.
